UNSOLVED HOMICIDE

On 1-20-1983 three days before he was to be sentenced for attempting to bribe a U.S. Senator..

60 year old Allen Dorfman an insurance and close associate of Jimmy Hoffa believed to have ties to the Chicago Outfit was shot to death in a Lincolnwood, Illinois, hotel parking lot....

While it is believed he was killed by former associates to prevent him from offering information about them in exchange for a reduced sentence..

No suspects have ever been named....

UNSOLVED HOMICIDE

42 year old Lenny Breau was a music teacher & guitarist...

Breau's body was found floating in the swimming pool at his Los Angeles California apartment complex on 8-12-1984...

The coroner's office found that rather than having drowned Lenny Breau was strangled...

His wife Jewel Breau was the chief suspect in the case but she was never charged with murder & the case is still unsolved....

While his wife was suspected Jewel Breau was never charged & no one else has been...

UNSOLVED HOMICIDE

7 year old Jaclyn Dowaliby disappeared from her home in Midlothian, Illinois during the night of 9-10-1988..

On 9-14-1988 four days later the 7 year old Dowaliby's body was found abandoned at a dump site six miles away from her home...

Police suspected that Cynthia & David Dowaliby [ the Parents ] were involved in the crime...

Her mother & adoptive father were charged with her murder...

The mother was acquitted & the adoptive father was convicted...

The verdict was later overturned on appeal due to lack of evidence...

No other suspects have been named since then...

UNSOLVED HOMICIDE

10 year old Amy Mihaljevic was kidnapped on 10-27-1989 from the Bay Square Shopping Center in Bay Village Ohio a suburb of Cleveland...

The abductor had contacted Mihaljevic by telephone & arranged to meet her...

On the pretext of buying a gift for her mother because she had recently been promoted he told her....

On 2-8-1990 Mihaljevic's body was found in a field close to the road off County Road 1181 located in Ruggles Township in rural Ashland County Ohio....

Evidence found at the scene of the crime suggests that Mihaljevic's body was probably dumped there shortly after her abduction...

It appears 10 year old Mihaljevic's killer also took several souvenirs...

Including the girl's horse-riding boots--her denim backpack--a binder with "Buick, Best in Class" written on the front clasp & turquoise earrings in the shape of horse heads....

Blood believed to be that of Mihaljevic was found in her underwear indicating she may have been raped or sexually abused...

Mitochondrial DNA from the crime scene was sampled which may be used in the future to compare to suspects.....

UNSOLVED HOMICIDE

51 year old Robert Donati Body Found

The 51 year old Victim was from Revere, Massachusetts..

The 51 year old Donati  was a Boston-area mobster believed to have masterminded the theft of $500 million worth of art from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in 1990..

Robert Donati was found beaten & stabbed multiple times in the trunk of his car on 9-24-1991...

This was three days after he had last been seen alive leaving his nearby home in Revere Massachusetts....

The 51 year old Robert Donati was likely a casualty of an ongoing war for control of the Patriarca crime family...

But no suspects have ever been charged with the crime...

UNSOLVED HOMICIDE

26 year old Michael Nigg was shot & killed on 9-8-1995 during an attempted robbery while withdrawing money from an ATM in Los Angeles California..

The 26 year old Victim was from Los Angeles California..

The 26 year old Nigg was an aspiring actor & waiter at a Los Angeles restaurant...

Three suspects were arrested a month later but released for lack of evidence & the case remains unsolved...

Since Nigg was a friend of Ronald Goldman with whom he had worked & seemed to live quite well for someone in his position...

Leading to some reports that he was involved in drug trafficking..

Nigg's death has been used to support theories that the murders of Goldman and O.J. Simpson's ex-wife Nicole the year before were in fact drug-related as well....
