David Elliott Penton a friend of Nydra's aunt, was convicted of killing her in 1990..

Penton kidnapped Nydra Ross, raped her, and choked her to death so she wouldn't tell anyone...

In 1985, Penton had pleaded guilty to shaking his infant son to death in Texas..

But fled to Ohio before sentencing because the Judge granted Penton an Appeal Bond..

Penton was sentenced to life for the Nydra Ross murder...

In 2004, Penton was indicted for the murders of Christi Meeks, Christie Proctor, and Roxann Reyes..

The murders all occured in Texas in 1980s.. He could face the death penalty...

As of April 2004, Penton is awaiting trial for those murders...
